During the financial year, Family Fitness and Food CIC continued to improve the health and wellbeing of local people by delivering accessible fitness, nutrition and wellbeing activities within the community. Our programmes supported children, families, older adults and individuals who may otherwise face barriers to accessing exercise. We provided affordable and funded fitness sessions that encouraged people to become more active, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, reduce social isolation and build confidence. Our activities created opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to exercise in a welcoming and supportive environment. The company also worked in partnership with local organisations and community groups to increase access to health and wellbeing initiatives. By removing financial barriers through funded sessions and community projects, we enabled more people to participate in regular physical activity, helping to create healthier, more connected communities.
Family Fitness and Food CIC regularly consulted with its stakeholders throughout the financial year. Our stakeholders included participants, parents and carers, older adults attending our sessions, local community organisations, funding bodies and partner organisations. Feedback was gathered through informal conversations during and after sessions, social media engagement, questionnaires and direct messages. This allowed us to understand the needs of the community and identify any barriers preventing people from taking part. As a result of this feedback, we continued to develop affordable and funded activities, adapted sessions to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities, and introduced new programmes where there was identified demand. We also adjusted session times and locations where possible to improve accessibility and encourage greater community participation. Stakeholder feedback continues to shape the services we provide, ensuring our activities remain relevant, inclusive and focused on improving the health and wellbeing of the local community.
