During the financial year, the company continued to support the community by promoting mental health awareness, suicide prevention and emotional wellbeing. Activities included free community support sessions, wellbeing workshops, creative activities and events designed to reduce loneliness, encourage open conversations about mental health and provide a safe and welcoming environment for people experiencing grief, distress or isolation. The company also worked with volunteers, local organisations and community members to raise awareness of available support and reduce the stigma surrounding suicide and mental health. These activities benefited participants by improving social connection, offering practical emotional support and helping people feel less alone.
The company’s stakeholders included people attending its support sessions and events, volunteers, local community members, partner organisations and individuals with lived experience of grief, suicide bereavement or mental health difficulties. Consultation took place informally through conversations during activities, feedback from participants, discussions with volunteers and communication with partner organisations. Feedback was used to improve the timing, format and content of sessions, make activities more welcoming and accessible, and focus support on the needs identified by the community.
