Black in The Ballroom CIC provides Ballroom and Latin American dance classes, with a strong focus on creating opportunities for dancers of Black heritage to participate, where there has historically been significant underrepresentation. During the year the company ran 66 weekly dance classes for children (4+) and adults (18+). Students and performers were given the opportunity to take part in a range of local, national and international events and performances, including: The Black in The Ballroom x OMDS Gala Ball The Simply Ballroom Spring Ball Dance Energy, in partnership with the Youth Action Alliance Oti Mabuse's 'Viva Carnival Tour' Cocoa Fest 2025 The UKA Premier Festival, Blackpool The Blackpool Dance Festival The United Kingdom Closed Championships This has continued to create a sense of pride and achievement within the Black community in the UK. The company continues to build confidence in its dancers, who are empowered to showcase their skills on regional, national and international stages.
