Principal activities of the company

The principal activity of the company is to assist local underprivileged young people to develop employment and enterprise skills and, where appropriate, support them in establishing small micro-businesses. During the period, the company remained in its initial set-up and planning stage and did not deliver any formal community programmes.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Going concern The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The company remained in its initial development stage during the period and was funded by amounts introduced by the director. Income recognition Bank interest is recognised when receivable. Expenditure Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis and includes costs incurred in setting up and administering the company.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, the company remained in its initial set-up and planning stage and did not deliver any formal community programmes. Limited preparatory and administrative work was undertaken, including printing, planning and general administration, in readiness for future community activities. As no formal activities were delivered during the year, there was no direct community benefit during the period. However, the preparatory work completed will help the company seek funding and develop future activities aimed at improving confidence, wellbeing, skills and opportunities within the local community.
