Consistent health, safety, care and wellbeing plans, management, programmes, supports, awareness, information and advice have benefited the community
The company’s stakeholders are Windrush residents in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms, local parish inhabitants and constitutional members The company directors are descendants who developed the business model for the activities based on their experience of talking to other residents. We created a petition to add the sovereign grant for families of people born “in parts beyond the seas” for the first time to fill in a short questionnaire to monitor their awareness. This has helped us to build up a profile of Windrush residents in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms, their needs and what we can do to meet them more effectively. Our petition has enabled us to identify that there are about 825 Windrush residents in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms without access to protection, inheritable rights and equality. We encourage those Windrush residents to pick up ideas for the business when talking to members and we keep a “contact” for members to provide details of activities which they would like to see implemented.
