During the financial year, Blessings In Action CIC delivered a range of wellbeing-focused community projects aimed at helping individuals manage stress, anxiety and other wellbeing challenges. The company provided free services and activities including stress and anxiety management workshops, movement and wellbeing workshops, pastoral support, community outreach initiatives, family fun days and practical support through food and clothing banks for individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship. These activities supported a wide range of communities, particularly those facing disadvantage. Beneficiaries included people experiencing homelessness, individuals with disabilities, members of refugee communities, faith-based groups and members of the wider community experiencing stress, depression and anxiety. Both adults and children benefited from the organisation’s programmes. During the reporting period, the company supported over 430 individuals through its free workshops, outreach activities and pastoral support services. Participants reported improvements in stress management, wellbeing, motivation and self-esteem. The company also encouraged beneficiaries to take part in volunteering opportunities, helping individuals develop a stronger sense of belonging and enabling them to contribute positively to their local community and environment. In addition to direct community support, Blessings In Action CIC worked with 34 small local businesses, contracting and collaborating with them as part of project delivery. This supported local enterprises while enabling community-focused services to be delivered by trusted local providers. The company also collaborated with the local council, local non-profit organisations and community partners to maximise the reach and impact of its work. During the year, the company secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and Sport England, alongside donations and support received through the Easyfundraising programme. The company increased public awareness of its community work through local media engagement, including a live interview on local radio, helping to highlight the importance of wellbeing support and community-based initiatives. During the year, the company also achieved several milestones, including securing a registered trade mark. Plans have been developed to further expand community impact in the coming year, including projects aimed at supporting neurodiverse children and developing additional partnerships to strengthen community wellbeing initiatives.
Blessings In Action CIC actively consulted with its stakeholders during the financial year to ensure that its activities remained responsive to the needs of the community it serves. The company’s stakeholders included beneficiaries, workshop participants, volunteers, directors, funders, local community groups, project partners, the local council, local non-profit organisations and businesses involved in project delivery. Stakeholders were consulted through regular directors’ meetings, direct engagement with beneficiaries and participants during workshops and outreach activities, feedback from those receiving support, and ongoing discussions with project partners and funders. Feedback received through these consultations was reviewed and used to help shape the company’s activities and improve programme delivery. The company adapted and developed its projects in response to stakeholder input to ensure that its services remained effective, inclusive and beneficial to the community. The company also engaged with wider community initiatives and movements, including North Somerset Creative Health and Citizens for Culture, contributing to broader conversations and collaboration around community wellbeing, creativity and social impact.
