Biggerhouse Film aims to create person-centred films to educate, inspire and assist film makers working with people to find their voice and create extraordinary stories, putting the participants at the centre of the devising and production process. Biggerhouse Film makes films ‘with’ people not ‘about’ them. We believe this way of working empowers not only the participants but also makes for a stronger film thus having greater impact on the intended audience. We aim to foster a new generation of filmmakers working from a voice that is under represented and excluded in mainstream cinema. In 2025 Biggerhouse completed a large collaborative animation short, supporting a young neurodiverse animation director from Wales make her first funded short film. A lot of time was spent applying to funding schemes, to further neurodiverse and people living with dementia. Core member of their Different Voices Neurodiverse film group met several times, through out the year, to catch up and share there current projects.
We have been working with many clients and partners including NHS Somerset, Innovations in Dementia and the Open University and the BFI. We have continued to work with vulnerable groups of people who self-describe as being: Neurodivergent living with dementia deaf and disabled We have completed many creative and educational film projects tackling issues of diversity and social exclusion. We continue to work hard to challenge any barriers facing the vulnerable people that we work with. We continue to challenge the status quo to make them more flexible and include the people that we work with.
The Directors were paid a total of £24,608 for their work on specific projects, this was done as subcontractors, they received no remuneration for their role as directors.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
