  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Income is derived from the receipt of grants and funding. For the year ending 31 October 2025, Peace Out Paddling CIC received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund totalling £19,400. As at 31 October 2025, £10,508 of this funding was deferred for ringfenced expenditure and costs incurred from 1 November 2025 onwards

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases: Plant & Machinery: 20% Reducing Balance Computer Equipment: 20% Reducing Balance

Company activities and impact

The company's activities include the provision of water sport sessions to local people from various marginalised groups free at the point of use. The sessions benefit the community by creating and connecting network and support groups for different marginalised groups including the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, alcohol and substance abuse addicts, refugees, and other vulnerable local people.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are its three directors. The company holds an annual general meeting to plan the CIC's operations. There has been no additional consultation.

Directors' remuneration

The accounts identify £5,650 session costs paid to company director Mr Jaimie Walshe, there were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
