This period was a period of development of course materials and making community based connections through events. The main community is a female based wellbeing event attended by about 180 women and girls from age 12 years. This event focused on the many ways to wellbeing and brought together over 60 female led small businesses in the field of health and wellbeing to demonstrate through workshop delivery, their expertise, and share how different types of wellbeing can achieve better outcomes for both physical and mental health. The key focus is on the three most prevalent red flag behaviours displayed by abusers in relationships. The objective is to raise awareness in young people and by engaging with the community we have been able to increase knowledge and understanding of this. The workshops, attended online by 36 girls and their parents (mothers) focus on self awareness, self belief and self confidence, with emphasis on the importance of feminine connection, seeing as Isolation plays a major part in domestic homicide. During this time, my focus was also on providing opportunities for other female based businesses to generate income, so my admin support, printing needs and business networking meetings have all been with organisations run by women local to me.
The CICs stakeholders are: The Young People's Centre Parents of teenagers in the region Female based businesses Other CICs under the umbrella of Domestic Abuse I attend the local Young People's Centre in the local town to talk to both teenagers and parents. this also includes linking with other organisations who use the centre to ensure wider network is accessed. I use social media (following 4.5k+) to engage in local /parenting groups and ask questions in relation to what the issues are and what would be helpful in addressing those issues, for example, how parents can effectively handle a situation without causing their teenager to be pushed into more isolation with the abusive person they are dating. Viewings across the platforms are anything up to 10k. I run an event that is also a business exhibition for female entrepreneurs who engage with women and girls aged 12yrs + to show how there are many ways to wellbeing and that connection and collaboration is safer. Information sharing with other CICs and collaborations.
The total amount paid to directors was £3000 for project management which came as part of a funding award from government funding, First Port. There were no other transactions with directors
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
