During the year ended 30 September 2025, Loopfest in the Community CIC continued its mission to support and develop grassroots music, arts and culture across Shropshire through the delivery of accessible community events, artist development opportunities and creative projects. The company organised and supported live music performances, workshops and community activities that provided opportunities for emerging musicians, performers and creative practitioners to develop their skills and reach new audiences. Activities were designed to encourage participation from people of all ages and backgrounds while strengthening the local creative economy. During the financial year the company also undertook significant planning and development work to establish LOOP Venue, creating a permanent community music venue to expand year-round cultural activity, support grassroots artists and provide additional opportunities for education, community engagement and live performance. Although the venue was not operational during the financial year, substantial work was undertaken to prepare for its opening after the year end. The company's activities benefited the community by increasing access to affordable cultural experiences, supporting local artists, creating volunteering opportunities and contributing to the cultural and economic wellbeing of Shropshire.
The company consulted with a wide range of stakeholders including local musicians, performers, audiences, volunteers, venue partners, local businesses, community organisations, funding bodies and educational partners. Consultation took place through meetings, informal discussions, feedback from events, social media engagement, surveys and ongoing communication with artists, volunteers and community partners. Feedback received influenced future event programming, accessibility improvements, artist development initiatives and the continued development of LOOP Venue to ensure it met the needs of local artists, audiences and the wider community.
