  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for goods supplied and services rendered, net of discounts and Value Added Tax. Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to the buyer (usually on despatch of the goods); the amount of revenue can be measured reliably; it is probable that the associated economic benefits will flow to the entity; and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transactions can be measured reliably.

    Other accounting policies

    Basis of preparation The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified by the revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured at fair value through profit or loss. The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the entity.

Company activities and impact

RDHG CIC provided high quality, person centred supported housing for vulnerable adults. We delivered safe, stable,and empowering homes that enabled individuals to develop independence, improve wellbeing and build sustainable futures. We offer a unique combination of specialist accommodation and aligned support , working in partnership with Shaped Care Services and other CQC registered providers to ensure each person receives holistic, needs led support. We are an inclusive organisation, welcoming people from all religious, cultural racial and LGBTQ backgrounds. Our current provision focuses on adults aged 18 to 65 with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism and associated complex conditions, with plans to expand our housing network to additional age groups as demand grows.

Consultation with stakeholders

RDHG stakeholders are the residents, parents, children, County Council. The directors/trustees of RDHG have lived in this community for many years and has developed the business model on the experience of talking to people within the community and understand their concerns. We regularly consult our stakeholders through meetings or sending out newsletters whenever there are important decisions to be taken that not only affect the business but also the community as a whole. This has helped us to build a more reputable profile as we valued our stakeholders’ input and allows them to create ideas that we take onboard.
