While the CIC was set up in September 2024, it did not start any operationally activities until January 2025. The first significant activities were building a local AI community network in London and organising our first community event (LPB 25) which attracted over 500 participants see: www.kxsb.org/lpb25/ The community benefited through the collaborative nature of the event (in summary a 20 day AI hackathon across six mission categories with financial and technology prizes for the winners and 2nd place teams.The event was funded from technology eco system sponsorship fees The 2nd half of the year comprised of a number of AI Engineering meet-ups (typically 60 people ) an example being see www.kxsb.org/events/
Stakeholders comprised KXSB directors and shareholders, sponsors and the venues used to host & facilitate the LPB event and networking meet-ups plus a number of people who volunteered there services on a cost recovery basis to help with social media and outreach project management, facilitation and AV related services
KXSB Directors and shareholders received limited operational management and facilitation fees to enable the design, development and operation of the events undertaken and the associated KXSB on-line platform that enabled the Hackathon and related networking to take place. These fees for 2025 were £3.500 per person ( £10.500 in total) shown in the accounts as consulting fees
