During the reporting period, Broomhill & District Garden & Allotment Community Interest Company continued to promote community gardening, allotment cultivation, environmental sustainability and healthy living within Broomhill, Red Row and the surrounding communities. The company provided support and resources for local allotment holders, gardeners and residents interested in growing fruit, vegetables, flowers and other plants. Activities included facilitating access to gardening supplies and equipment, providing horticultural advice and encouraging participation in allotment and community growing projects. The company worked to improve community wellbeing by creating opportunities for residents of all ages to engage in outdoor activities, develop practical gardening skills and participate in community-based environmental initiatives. Through its activities, the company encouraged healthy lifestyles, social interaction and greater awareness of sustainable growing practices. The company also supported the maintenance and improvement of allotment facilities and community growing spaces, helping to create attractive, productive and environmentally beneficial areas that could be enjoyed by local residents. These activities contributed to biodiversity, local food production and the enhancement of community green spaces. Any surplus generated by the company was retained and applied solely towards furthering its community interest objectives, supporting the continued development of allotment facilities, community growing projects and activities that benefit the local community.
