Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Edgbaston Athletic FC continued to make a positive contribution to the local community by providing inclusive sports, health and wellbeing opportunities for children, young people and families across Birmingham. We delivered weekly football coaching sessions, holiday camps and community events that encouraged children and young people to participate in regular physical activity, develop new skills and build confidence in a safe, welcoming environment. Our programmes promoted teamwork, discipline, respect and resilience while helping to improve participants’ physical and mental wellbeing. We remained committed to ensuring that financial circumstances were not a barrier to participation by offering free and low-cost opportunities wherever possible. Through our holiday provision, children were able to access structured activities, healthy meals and positive role models during school holidays, helping to reduce social isolation and support families experiencing financial pressures. Edgbaston Athletic FC also strengthened relationships with local schools, community organisations and partner agencies to expand opportunities for young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These partnerships enabled us to deliver inclusive activities that reflected the needs of our diverse community. Beyond sport, our activities promoted healthy lifestyles, encouraged community cohesion and created opportunities for volunteers and coaches to develop their skills and gain valuable experience. By bringing together people from different backgrounds through sport, we helped foster a stronger sense of belonging and community pride. Overall, the company’s activities have had a meaningful and lasting impact by increasing participation in physical activity, improving health and wellbeing, supporting young people’s personal development and strengthening community connections across the areas we serve.
