The Anglo West Indian Social Club CIC continues to provide activities for its members and their friends within a vibrant atmosphere of warmth,rhythm and communal solidarity. Our hub continues to serve as a vital cultural sanctuary and lively social space, where there is a strong social interaction between members ad the public, who attend our Wednesday Club each week which has continues to be a success and has grown in numbers. Activities include playing dominoes and celebrating social occasions. The over 50s continue to meet monthly. The members have benefited from guest speakers who came to discuss topics around health,elderly services,how to reduce isolation,lasting power of attorney,making a will and income maximization. The members have benefited from cultural events including our annual coach trip to North West Leicestershire Cricket Club, celebrating Bajan Independence.
The members are our stakeholders.We held our Annual General Meeting on the 7 June 2026, where members views and opinions were noted. The management committee were re-elected. From members feedback at the AGM, it was suggested to have arranged a monthly quiz night to help raise funds to improve the condition of the building. It was agreed also to reintroduce light snacks/hot meals on a weekly basis. To encourage new members and improve communication methods to attract people from the wider community.
Remuneration of £1986 was paid during the year which consists of cleaning and bar service duties.
