Climate Cafe CIC has continued to support communities to create space to drink, chat and act on climate issues; to connect with each other and engage across regions and internationally. These may be communities of place, interest, within Schools, on campuses, in workplaces and public bodies. In 2025 support and connection was extended to other networks and events through presentations and active engagement in person, sharing ideas and support for creating space to connect on climate. In the financial year to 31st October 2025, Climate Cafe CIC continued to support and connect communities, providing resources (such as logos, webspace, events) and opportunities to engage online and in person. Development of the Network continued to be informed by community needs. Climate Cafe CIC supported delivery of a Climate Action Hub, an initiative supported by Scottish Government and shaped by community participation, in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The aim and outcome of this work continues to enhance connections, collaboration, and create more space and opportunities tor community collaboration on climate chat and action.
Every Climate Cafe is community led, and the Coordinators who support these are supported by the Climate Cafe CIC to connect regularly - either through network calls, or directly. These network calls enable Climate Cafe Coordinators to connect, share updates, feedback on opportunities and challenges, and what would be of interest and support to sustain their activities. This informs the development of resources and materials, contributions to network calls, information and materials that can be provided. The Strategy is shaped and reviewed according to understanding of the community needs and interested; new materials, resources, information and support is shaped and informed by this regular community engagement, in person events and direct communications with Coordinators who share input from their community perspective. Some of these communities are communities of place, some are communities of interest, and may be within certain settings - for example, schools, campuses, workplaces, public bodies, congregations.
