This year the company's efforts concentrated on supporting the hurricane efforts. Hurricane Melissa devasted Jamaica. We worked with other organisation and agencies to collect non perishable goods and to publicize what was needed by communities in Jamaica.
After the hurricane, through our volunteers we were able to carry out a survey in two communities in Jamaica to find out the best way to help. We were told that those communities did not want clothes but would be happy to have tinned and other non perishable goods. Many people had no access to electricity and have anyway of storing goods. Hence the reasons why spaghetti, tinned fish and meat etc were preferred.
