During the financial year (1 November 2024 - 31 October 2025), Apricot Wellbeing CIC continued its mission to improve emotional wellbeing across health and care settings through trauma-informed training, group coaching and community-led facilitation. Our work is designed to help individuals and communities move from a "surviving" mindset towards a "thriving" one. Key activities and their community benefit included: Maternity experience co-production project with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust - co-designed and delivered with Sarindi Aryasinghe and Phoebe Averill, this project used nominal group technique to gather the lived experiences of Black, African, Caribbean and mixed-Black families using maternity services. This gave underrepresented communities a direct voice in shaping NHS maternity care and helped identify practical improvements to reduce inequalities in maternal health outcomes. Trauma-informed programmes with NHS North-West London ICB - delivered training and facilitation that embedded trauma-informed practice within local health and care services, improving staff understanding and supporting better outcomes for service users with lived experience of trauma. Partnership with Active Successful Engagement CIC - delivered further trauma-informed programming, again with strong feedback and evaluation results, extending the reach of trauma-informed approaches within the community sector. Across all of this work, our focus has been on building trust with the communities we serve, co-producing projects rather than delivering top-down interventions, embedding trauma-informed practice in health and care settings, and developing and unlocking community leadership. This approach ensures that the people most affected by health inequalities have a genuine stake in shaping the services and support they receive.
The principal activity of the company during the period was the provision of trauma-informed training, group coaching and community-led facilitation across health and care settings. The company's work focuses on improving emotional wellbeing, supporting personal growth, and helping individuals and communities move from a surviving mindset to a thriving one. During the year the company delivered co-produced projects and training programmes in partnership with NHS organisations and community interest companies, including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, NHS North-West London ICB, and Active Successful Engagement CIC.
