Company activities and impact

During the financial year the company's activities benefited the community in the following ways: > Local families and residents were able to participate in community-based craft and engagement activities held through Haddiscoe Village Hall while planning matters affecting the care farm site were being resolved. > Local families were able to access lamb-feeding experiences at Willow Haven Care Farm, providing opportunities for outdoor recreation, animal interaction and informal learning. > Two college students were provided with work experience placements, helping them gain practical skills, confidence and experience within a land-based community setting. > Other volunteer work on the care farm site was focused on making it safe, operational and capable of supporting future educational, therapeutic and wellbeing activities. > Planning, governance and operational development work was undertaken to support the future expansion of services for children, young people, families and the wider community.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders include participating families, children and young people, work experience students, local supporters and community partners. Throughout the year, feedback was gathered through informal conversations during activities, discussions with families and supporters, and feedback from students undertaking work experience placements. This feedback reinforced the importance of animal-based experiences, outdoor activities and educational opportunities, and has helped shape the company's plans for future care farm, volunteering and learning activities.
