During the financial year, SEAUK CIC continued to support the professional development of Somatic Experiencing Practitioners across the United Kingdom. The organisation delivered two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops, providing opportunities for practitioners to deepen their knowledge, maintain professional standards, and enhance their trauma-informed practice. SEAUK also facilitated communication and networking amongst its members, represented UK practitioners within the European Association for Somatic Experiencing (EASE), and participated in the EASE General Assembly. Throughout the year, the Board continued to strengthen the organisation's governance and operational systems to support the long-term sustainability of the CIC. These activities benefited the community by supporting the ongoing development of skilled and ethically accountable Somatic Experiencing Practitioners, helping to improve the quality and availability of trauma-informed services for the public.
SEAUK CIC's principal stakeholders are its members, Somatic Experiencing Practitioners and trainees, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshop participants, the Board of Directors, and the wider Somatic Experiencing community. During the financial year, stakeholders were consulted through the Annual General Meeting, member surveys, feedback from CPD workshops, and ongoing communication between members and the Board. The Board also sought members' views on the redevelopment of the SEAUK website and on topics for future CPD workshops. Feedback from these consultations informed the planning of professional development activities, organisational priorities, and governance decisions, helping to ensure that SEAUK's activities continued to reflect the needs and interests of its membership while supporting the development of high-quality trauma-informed practice.
