Intangible fixed assets
Intangible fixed assets (including purchased goodwill and patents) are included at cost less accumulated amortisation. Intangible fixed assets have been amortized over 15 years on straight line basis During the year, the directors performed an impairment review of the Company's intangible asset following indicators that its carrying value may not be fully recoverable, including changes in the Company's business activities and the current commercial utilisation of the underlying technology. As a result of this review, an impairment charge of £358,874 was recognised. The recoverable amount of the asset has been estimated at £300,000 based on the directors' best estimate of fair value, taking into account the potential for the technology to be reused or redeployed in future business activities and strategic pivots. Going concern
The company is reliant upon the continued financial support of its directors, shareholders and related parties in order to meet its liabilities as they fall due. The directors have a reasonable expectation that this support will continue to be available for at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements and accordingly consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis. The financial statements do not include any adjustments that would be required if the company were unable to continue as a going concern
