Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

In 2025, White Hut Studios in Education CIC continued to empower children and young people through music production, creative expression, and targeted mentoring. Our work focused on building technical skills, boosting confidence, and improving mental health and wellbeing among young people across schools, community venues, and international platforms. Key Activities: Creative Health & Community Workshops: Expanded our music production and songwriting workshops in local communities (including New Addington and across Croydon), supported by local creative health initiatives to engage young people facing anxiety, low mood, or barriers to formal education. Mentoring & Artist Development: Trained early-career artists to facilitate extra-curricular workshops, providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring in songwriting, vocal recording, and beat making. Live Showcases & Platforming: Hosted live showcase opportunities (such as Stage One in Croydon) to give young creatives hands-on stage experience and celebrate their original music. International & Industry Exchange: Represented the CIC’s music-led youth engagement model on international platforms (including trade missions and conferences like IMX Shanghai), fostering cross-cultural creative exchange and industry mentorship. Community Benefit: Participants gained practical digital music skills, improved emotional resilience, and built a stronger sense of belonging. By combining creative education with mental health support, the company helped reduce social isolation and re-engaged young people in positive learning pathways.
