  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    The company has assessed that the building remains in good condition due to regular maintenance and structural upgrades. As a result, no depreciation has been charged in accordance with the company's depreciation policy, which allows exemption for assets that retain their full service potential.

Company activities and impact

Establish Cultural Centre for religious social, and cultural activities for use of the members of the community in particular members of Saiva (Hindu) Tamil Community and to teach and promote social, cultural, religious, and spiritual understanding based upon Saiva religious principle to the children who are born or brought up in UK and adults who are interested, to enable them to learn and preserve Saiva values and traditions. Conduct educational programs for children as well as adults based on Teaching Saiva Siddhnatam (Hindu Scriptures) Teaching and promoting yoga and mediation Interact with other organisation and individual of other religious faiths to promote mutual understanding and tolerance Promoting out of school activities for young people by providing facilities to develop their skills in fine arts such as music, Indian traditional dance and drum. Providing facilities for community welfare service for Tamils and wider communities in Southend on Sea and its vicinity around the world. Providing facilities for such other services as identified from time to time by the SNK Southend Management Communities.
