The Farming Mother CIC exists to improve the lives of children, young people and families predominately across Cornwall but working beyond the boarder where required, we particularly support those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA), autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, social isolation and barriers to education. Our purpose is to create safe, inclusive opportunities that improve education, wellbeing, confidence and resilience through practical, nature-based and therapeutic experiences while supporting the whole family. What the company has done to benefit the community During the year ended 31 October 2025, The Farming Mother CIC experienced significant growth and established itself as a trusted provider of specialist educational and wellbeing services. A key achievement during the year was becoming an approved Alternative Provision provider, enabling the organisation to deliver commissioned educational placements on behalf of local authorities and schools. This recognition demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education for children who are unable to access or thrive within mainstream educational settings. The organisation also became a registered ASDAN Centre, allowing learners to access nationally recognised qualifications through practical, personalised learning. This has created meaningful educational pathways for young people whose strengths are often not recognised through traditional education. Throughout the year we delivered a broad range of activities, including: Alternative Provision education. Accredited ASDAN learning programmes. Animal-assisted education and therapeutic interventions. Outdoor learning and environmental education. Parent advocacy and SEND support. Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) guidance. Family wellbeing activities. Community events and fundraising initiatives. Volunteer opportunities. Inclusive educational and food anwareness experiences designed to improve confidence, emotional regulation, independence and life skills. We worked collaboratively with schools, local authorities, health professionals and community organisations to ensure children and families received joined-up, person-centred support. Income generated through our educational provision and community activities has been reinvested directly into developing services, improving facilities, maintaining the farm environment, caring for the animals that form an integral part of our provision, purchasing educational resources and increasing access for families experiencing financial hardship. The company remains committed to ensuring that financial circumstances are never a barrier to receiving advice, guidance or support. Community Impact Our activities have delivered clear community benefit by: Improving educational access for children unable to thrive in mainstream settings. Providing specialist Alternative Provision commissioned by schools and local authorities. Delivering nationally recognised ASDAN qualifications. Supporting children with SEND, autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety and EBSA through personalised education and therapeutic interventions. Improving children’s confidence, emotional regulation, communication and independence through practical learning and animal-assisted activities. Supporting parents through advocacy, EHCP guidance and signposting to appropriate services. Reducing family isolation through inclusive events and ongoing support. Building strong partnerships with education, health and community organisations. Reinvesting all income into improving services and increasing community benefit. The directors believe these activities have delivered significant and lasting benefit to the communities we serve.

The Farming Mother CIC actively seeks feedback from the people who use and support its services. During the reporting period we engaged with: Children and young people. Parents and carers. Schools and educational settings. Local Authority officers. Health professionals. Volunteers. Community organisations. Local businesses and supporters. Feedback is gathered through reviews, meetings, informal discussions, evaluation forms and ongoing partnership working. This information is used to shape the development of our services, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of the community.
