With successful grant applications with National Lottery Fund and Gwent Association Voluntary Organisations (GAVO), this increased our work in the community and how we fedback our impact to everyone involved. Regular contact with Caerphilly library has led to an increase in mini event planning and these events (Pokemon Day) Feb 2025 had over 150 attendees and RPG DAY 2025 had over 60 attendees at the library. The increased footfall in the library has also helped increasing our monthly attendance figures overall and library card signup. Regular meetings with Caerphilly Employment Services has led to our pilot workshop (upskilling unemployed adults specifically Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) running for 2x 8 weeks sessions (16 days total) in March/April 2025 in Caerphilly and Blackwood. The workshops are being further developed with National Lottery Funding to help volunteers gain teaching, interpersonal, confidence and communication skills. The success of these placements has led to references being provided by us and 2 volunteers gaining jobs in the community. We are in constant contact with Caerphilly Employment Support and working to develop the workshops to level 1&2. Future workshops have been planned in for 2025/6 to carry on our impact in the community. Meeting Bargoed Town Council on a regular basis and constant feedback is shared with the town councillors on the workshop delivery for the weekend CTG STEM club at Bargoed library.
