COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

BUZZARDS AND WORMS CIC

Company Number: 16054436 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2025

Company activities and impact

The company has remained dormant throughout it’s first financial year. We needed to change two of our Directors and we have been focusing on developing the governing documents, researching potential community partners, and setting up the operational framework, getting our policies and procedures in place, organising safeguarding training, and exploring grant funding opportunities. Although the first year did not include any trading, we did launch our website and have been very much in touch with the community to find out what is needed to inform us of our work. We have created some great connections with stakeholders and other organisations in our community and reached many new people on our Facebook page.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are members of our local community in Norwich and our wider community of Norfolk - children, adults and families. We work to help get these stakeholders out in nature to connect to each other, themselves and their local nature places. We have been - -Asking for feedback on what is needed for them to engage with local activity and events in nature. - Attending local events to meet with potential stakeholders and other organisations to see what is already happening and what is missing - Having conversations with other organisations on how we might link up and offer workshops that meet the needs of our stakeholders -One big response we have heard is that women want to have opportunities to gather with other women in a women only space in nature. As a result of this, we have submitted a bid to Norfolk Community Foundation to run a project called Women who Grow and we are very hopeful we can start this this year. - We have begun to set up polls on our facebook page to ask people what it is they would like to see offered in their local area. -We are in discussion without local allotment space of how we could offer something to those that already use the space to increase connections and skills sharing opportunities in the community.
