Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 June 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

Turnover comprises the fair value of goods and services net of Value Added Tax, rebates and discounts. Sale of goods are recognised when the company has delivered goods to the customer.

Tangible fixed assets and depreciation policy

All assets are initially recorded at cost. Depreciation is calculated so to write off the cost or revaluation of an asset, less its estimated residual value, over the useful life economic life of the asset as follows. Short leasehold property straight line over 40 years. Plant & machinery 20% reducing balance. Fixtures fittings and equipment 15 / 25% reducing balance. Motor vehicles 25% reducing balance.

Valuation and information policy

Stock is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.

Other accounting policies

Deferred taxation. Deferred tax is provided in full in respect of taxation deferred by timing differences between the treatment of certain items for taxation and accounting purposes. Deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that the director considers that it is more likely than not that there will be suitable taxable profits from which the future reversal of an underlying timing differences can be deducted. Deferred tax measured on an undiscounted basis at the tax rates that are expected to apply in the periods in which the timing differences reverse, based on tax rates and laws enacted and substantively acted at the balance sheet date.
