Our core curriculum focuses on Maths, English, and Science, delivered through bespoke timetables that meet the individual needs of each learner. EMLM supports children who may have experienced loss, trauma, or social disadvantage, recognising that emotional and social challenges can significantly impact learning. We work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide the right guidance, support, and referrals when necessary. Our goal is to re-engage, re-connect, and empower every learner through a nurturing and structured educational programme. Specialist Mentoring Our unique approach is underpinned by Specialist Mentoring support, available to learners and carers both during and after school hours. This wraparound support is designed to strengthen emotional resilience and academic confidence. Our Location EMLM operates from 108 Conisbrough Crescent, Catford, London SE6 2SP. Our building not only serves as an educational facility but also provides a space for a variety of community-focused activities. Community Impact EMLM has made a meaningful contribution to the local community in several key areas: 1. Safe Learning Environment: We offer a secure and nurturing space for learners, including Children Looked After (CLA) and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). 2. Expert Staff Support: Learners benefit from the care of qualified teachers, specialist teaching assistants, and learning mentors, receiving bespoke 1:1 support as well as small and large group sessions. 3. Reintegration Focus: Our programme aims to prepare learners for return to their host school or onward transition to specialist provision. Reintegration packages are carefully planned, with Specialist Mentors deployed to support smooth transitions. 4. Successful Outcomes: To date, we have worked with over 90 children, with 85% successfully re-integrated into mainstream education and the remaining 15% progressing to sixth form or college. 5.Small Class Sizes: Our tailored approach includes class sizes of just 6 to 8 learners, promoting personalised attention and support. 6.Local Employment: EMLM employs nine full-time and four part-time staff members, the majority of whom reside within the local community. 7.Extended Support: We conduct home visits when required, providing support to families during and outside school hours. At Education My Life Matters (EMLM), our main stakeholders are the learners who attend our school. Their personal development, academic achievement, and overall well-being are central to everything we do. Our educational model is shaped by the Directors’ expertise in education, social care, and professional development. Drawing on the principles of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), we provide a structured, supportive environment that nurtures both the emotional and cognitive needs of our learners. We also recognise the growing importance of eLearning and integrate digital tools and online platforms into our bespoke educational programme to enhance engagement, flexibility, and personalised learning outcomes.
