Haven of Hope provides a holiday for people generally, but not exclusively, over the age of 60, who attend churches in the East Anglia region, although occasionally they come from further afield but have either moved from this area and wish to continue coming or have close connections with someone in this area. The holiday uses the facilities of Sizewell Christian Conference Centre and enjoys the surrounding countryside and seaside. We have new folk joining us each year which is always an encouragement. The theme day this year was musicals and we saw many taking part in dressing up and enjoying the afternoon activities. We had the donation of a crazy golf course this year which was enjoyed by many as well as various craft activities. We had 50 guests this year and 14 team. Our speaker was Robert Green who spoke on the Beatitudes. The holiday impacts our guests in many ways; providing company and fun for some who don’t have any other holiday or who live alone, and giving all a chance to try new things they wouldn’t otherwise be able to do.
