| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£) and they are rounded to the nearest £1. |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of VAT and trade discounts. |
| When the outcome of a transaction can be estimated reliably, turnover from services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion at the balance sheet date. Stage of completion is measured by reference to finalisation of work completed. |

| Foreign exchange translation |
| The Company's functional and presentation currency is Pounds Sterling (£). |
| Transactions denominated in foreign currencies are recorded at the exchange rates ruling at the dates of the transactions. Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are translated into Sterling at the exchange rates ruling at the reporting date. |
| Exchange differences arising on the settlement of monetary items or on translating monetary items at rates different from those at which they were initially recorded are recognised in profit or loss in the period in which they arise. |
| Non-monetary assets and liabilities measured at historical cost are translated using the exchange rate at the date of the transaction. Non-monetary assets and liabilities measured at fair value are translated using the exchange rate when the fair value was determined. |
| Taxation |
