Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 October 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances. Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when all the following conditions are satisfied: the Company has transferred to the buyer the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods; the Company retains neither continuing managerial involvement to the degree usually associated with ownership nor effective control over the goods sold; the amount of revenue can be measured reliably; it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the Company; and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. Specifically, revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when goods are delivered and legal title is passed.

Company activities and impact

In their fourth year, Creatful CIC have delivered 263 events across 20 different venues in Portsmouth and South Hampshire. A total of 2,491 people attended these events, representing all ages, abilities and genders, with a specialism in supporting women facing multiple disadvantages. Creatful is powered by a dedicated team of 22 volunteers, who collectively delivered 511 volunteer hours during this business year. Creatful has developed strong local corporate partnerships with Havant and South Downs College, Ambition Portsmouth, Motiv8 Havant, The Southern Music Project, Advance Charity, Growing Places Charity, A Good Thing and Wellington Vale Care Home. Alongside generating income through sales, Creatful has also received support from The National Lottery Community Fund, Barchester Care Homes, Rotary Havant, Recycle 4 Charity, East Hampshire Council, Portsmouth City Council and Havant Borough Council. Feedback across all Creatful services continues to be outstanding, with numerous 5 star Google reviews and consistently positive testimonials. All attendees asked said they would recommend Creatful to friends and family. Creatful regularly implements its quality improvement plan, ensuring that feedback directly informs continuous development. Creatful has also received recognition through local awards, including founding director Nancy Fellows being named Havant Borough Honorary Citizen 2025. Over the past year, Creatful has been featured regularly in local publications, radio and podcasts, further strengthening its presence in the community. Creatful supports people in deprived communities, including: our Ukrainian community; women in the criminal justice system; women who are victims of domestic abuse; women in addiction; women experiencing substance misuse; women in recovery; women facing homelessness; women with mental health illness; people with learning difficulties; young people; and many more. Creatful runs six regular weekly groups for different parts of our community plus one off events and community events. Creatful have provided multiple workshops at local holiday clubs and schools outside of term time. Creatful has expanded its creative mentorship, intern and work experience programmes during this year. Creatful provides sustainability consultancy at growing places charity and this has been a key part of our delivery during this year with founding director Nancy Fellows named as their Sustainability Lead. Creatful collaborates with many local creatives providing freelance opportunities and connections. Creatful has launched notebooks and clothing as an income stream. Creatful has provided multiple opportunities for community art and creative collaboration. Creatful had some difficult decisions to make this year to ensure long term stability which included closing our after school club.
