COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

LIGHT OF HOPE FOR ALL CIC

Company Number: 14390975 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, LIGHT OF HOPE FOR ALL CIC continued to provide weekly youth engagement activities for young people from the local community in Derby. Our sessions focused on developing practical and creative skills, including learning to play musical instruments, operating audio equipment (both analogue and digital mixers), and gaining experience with video production, cameras, and live streaming technology. These activities were designed around the interests of the young people and provided opportunities for learning, personal development, teamwork, and confidence building. In addition to weekly sessions, we organised a number of community activities, including local trips, cinema nights, and social outings. These events provided safe and positive environments where young people could build friendships, develop social skills, and feel connected to their community. The impact of these activities has been significant. We have developed stronger relationships with both young people and their families, creating a trusted support network within the community. By providing regular activities during evenings and weekends, we have offered constructive alternatives that have helped reduce the risk of young people becoming involved in anti-social behaviour or other negative influences. We have also supported young people with schoolwork and homework, encouraged participation in further education, and invited mentors from professional backgrounds, including teaching and other careers, to inspire and encourage them to achieve their goals. As a faith-based organisation, we have provided opportunities for young people to explore the Christian faith and have welcomed those who wished to become more involved in church life. Many participants have continued attending regularly, reporting increased confidence, stronger friendships, a greater sense of belonging, and improved wellbeing. Overall, the company's activities have provided educational, social, and personal development opportunities for young people while strengthening community cohesion and supporting families within the local area.
