COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

DANIEL'S KITCHEN COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 15207832 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

Daniel's Kitchen has provided food, both as delivered cooked meals and food bags, to people who are in crisis and are not able to buy or cook food. Food has been donated by individuals and businesses and cooked food was prepared by professional chefs at The Priory Hotel, Louth. We have further supported individuals who are in need of counselling, mentoring or other services. A book reading group and gardening group have also supported mental health and isolation. The groups have provided social interaction and friendship. The Priory Hotel has kindly provided space for meetings as well as counselling and mentoring sessions. The hotel employs people with a range of mental health needs across the neurodiversity spectrum. This provides not only paid employment or voluntary opportunities in a supportive environment. Many of these individuals have previously been refused employment because of their challenges. The community has benefited from improved mental health as well as partnership with other organisations to help people be the best version of themselves.

Consultation with stakeholders

Two of our volunteers contact people who have benefited from our services for feedback on the help they received and to ascertain whether further help is needed. Some of the people we have supported have moved on to become volunteers or find employment. Donors and other supporters have commented on our Facebook page with suggestions for changes, different sources of support and praise for our efforts. Other stakeholders include East Lindsay District Council, Louth Town Council, Lincolnshire Community Foundation, individual and corporate donors. We are in regular contact with all of these organisations and individuals, face-to-face or by email. Many of them refer clients to us. We have responded to feedback through discussion at regular management team meetings. The six members of this team have a wide range of experience and qualifications. Solutions are agreed if changes to our ways of working are needed.
