In this fifth year of activity Eos continued to engage new clients from both the community and public sectors. 1. Provide an affordable and professional business analysis and consultancy service to the community and voluntary sector; Eos delivered 7 consultancy contracts for community and voluntary sector organisations with clients across Northern Ireland. Reports were completed to a high standard for an affordable fee and were subsequently used by the clients to develop further projects within their organisations and as leverage to secure additional funding. Work undertaken included evaluation and impact measurement, community engagement and the development of strategic and operational plans. 2. Provide consultancy services to public sector organisations which focus on stakeholder engagement, community sector support and development and project development and evaluation. In delivering such services, Eos will ensure community involvement is authentic and meaningful and contributes to service and policy development; Eos was involved in facilitating community engagement activities for 6 public sector contracts during this financial year ranging form short workshop based contracts to longer term community engagement and service design. We continue to advocate for and deliver meaningful and authentic co design activity and community participation, and to provide our clients with honest feedback from stakeholders and individuals with lived experience which puts people at the heart of public policy making. In this financial year we worked with clients to redesign their approach to community involvement and development; to meaningfully engage children in play park design, and to address issues of safety and good relations.
Clients and potential clients. Eos has developed a credible reputation across sectors which has led to repeat business from both community and voluntary sector and public sector clients. We have also secured several longer term contracts for annual evaluation work with clients we have worked with in the past. This was a challenging year for the community and voluntary sector with funding pressures meaning evaluation and strategic planning are considered a ‘nice to do’ and often fall down the priority list when concentrating on the survival of the organisation. As a result the proportion of work for public sector organisations has increased. Eos was approached by a number of previous clients to undertake new work and we continue to build a reputation for facilitating strong participatory processes on sometimes sensitive issues. Partners Eos has a broad associate base which enables us to respond more comprehensively to the needs of stakeholders. We collaborate regularly with trusted partners, enabling Eos to focus on its core strengths and to draw on the expertise of others where appropriate.
