| 6. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
| Plumbing Pensions Employers Limited (“the Company”) is funded by the Plumbing and Mechanical Services (UK) Industry Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”) under the Trustee’s approved expenses policy. The Company acts as the nominated employer representative body for the Scheme’s participating employers. The Company is a fifty per cent guarantor member of Plumbing Pensions (UK) Limited, which is the Trustee company. This membership does not give the Company control or joint control. Under the Trustee company’s Articles, strategic and operational decisions are taken by a majority of independent Professional Directors, and the members do not have the ability, either individually or together, to direct the financial or operating policies of the Trustee, the Scheme, or the administration company, Plumbing Pensions (UK) Administration Limited. |
| In accordance with FRS 102 Section 33, the Scheme, the Trustee company, and the administration company have been assessed for related party purposes. The Company is not a related party of these entities, because it does not control them, it does not jointly control them, and it does not exercise significant influence over them. The Company contracts with the administration company for administrative services on normal commercial terms. Funding received from the Scheme represents reimbursement of allowable operating costs. |
