Supported Living and Learning Solutions C.I.C is a non- profit organisation that was formed to provide quality and nurturing children's homes for children and young people. Our aim is still the same as originally formed, our organisation aims to provide quality services to children and young people and upskill and provide employment and development opportunities for people within our community. This year we have created jobs for local people in our area, we have upskilled and invested in quality training and qualifications and are giving employees the opportunity to develop within their roles. We have also strengthened our management team This year we have made major developments in terms of building positive relationships with commissioners and Local Authorities and partner agencies and sharing our hopes and ideas for the company which they have been fully supportive of. We have gathered feedback on what children, Local Authorities and local agencies feel that would create a 'quality homes' for those whom we support, this has formed supported us in creating our action plans and involving steering groups for support. We have developed good relationships with training providers, apprenticeship bodies and consultants who are supporting us with the professional development of our company and employees, we hope to ensure that we have the highest quality training and support for our staff team who will be at the frontline in supporting our children and young people. We have worked collaboratively with other Third sector projects within our local area and developed positive working relationships.
Children and Young People Our main aim is to ensure that our organisation is young person led, we pay particular attention to the young persons wishes and feelings of whom we support. Consultation is done with young people through various methods such as Feedback forms, questionnaires and verbal feedback. It is extremely important for our organisation to focus on the children's and young people's views on how they wish for their care to be, they are at the forefront of all Supported Living and learning solutions C.I.C decision making. Reg 44 Visitors The company has employed an external reg 44 officers, who visits the company monthly. Reg 44 provides recommendations on how we can improve the overall quality of our service this has formed any action plans for the company which have been actioned and implemented to improve the service we provide for our children and young people. Supported Living and learning Solutions are always seeking ways to improve our service therefore critical feedback and ongoing support is crucial for our development. Children's Care Commissioners/Local Authorities. Our organisation has built strong and trusting relationships with Local Authorities, through consultations with Local Authorities we have had a clear insight of what our Local Authorities are lacking, which are quality residential cares within their area, we hope to provide our Local Authority with quality homes within their local area.
