During the financial year, the company’s activities have contributed to the creative and local community in the following ways: * The company has provided informal mentoring and guidance to emerging filmmakers, writers, and creatives, offering insight into the development and production process and supporting early-stage talent in navigating the industry. * Engagement with students and recent graduates from schools, academies, and higher education institutions has been undertaken, with the company offering advice, introductions, and practical exposure to the film and media sector. * The company has supported skills development through the creation of opportunities for apprenticeships, work experience placements, and shadowing roles across various stages of film development and production. * Collaboration with independent creatives and small-scale production partners has enabled a number of contributors to participate in professional projects, supporting the growth of a wider creative network. * The company has contributed to the cultural landscape by developing film and media projects that explore socially relevant themes, with the intention of delivering both commercial and cultural value. These activities reflect the company’s commitment to supporting the next generation of talent, fostering creative collaboration, and contributing positively to the wider film and media ecosystem.
During the financial year, the company has engaged with a range of stakeholders in order to inform its activities and ensure that its work remains relevant, accessible, and impactful. The company’s stakeholders include emerging filmmakers, writers and creatives, industry professionals, educational institutions (including schools and academies), production partners, and members of the wider community with an interest in film and media. Consultation has taken place through a combination of informal discussions, project-based collaboration, mentoring interactions, and ongoing dialogue with creative and educational partners. Feedback has also been gathered through direct engagement with participants involved in development projects, workshops, and advisory conversations. As a result of this engagement, the company has taken steps to: * Increase its focus on mentoring and supporting early-stage creative talent * Explore the development of structured apprenticeship and work experience opportunities * Strengthen collaboration with educational institutions to provide clearer pathways into the film industry * Ensure that its project development reflects a balance of commercial viability and cultural relevance These actions demonstrate the company’s commitment to remaining responsive to stakeholder input and to contributing positively to the development of the creative sector.
