During the financial year, Bristol Breakers CIC continued to develop its activities as a community-focused organisation supporting young people and vulnerable members of the community through dance, sport and cultural engagement activities. The organisation promoted community participation by facilitating open dance sessions and providing opportunities for people from different backgrounds to engage in positive social, physical and cultural activities. During the reporting period, the CIC primarily operated as a volunteer-led community group while seeking funding and partnership opportunities to expand its activities. Although significant grant funding was not secured until after the end of the financial year, the organisation maintained its community presence, developed programmes and established relationships to support future delivery. The company's activities are intended to benefit young people and vulnerable individuals in Bristol and across the UK by promoting wellbeing, social inclusion, cultural exchange, community cohesion and accessible participation in creative and sporting activities. Any future surpluses will be reinvested in furthering these community benefit objectives.
The company's stakeholders include participants in its activities, dancers of all ages, young people, parents and carers, volunteers, community groups and potential funding partners. During the financial year, feedback was gathered through informal discussions and anonymous feedback testimonials with participants, community members and partner organisations regarding the types of activities and support that would be most beneficial to the local community. This feedback indicated an increase for accessible community activities that promote dance, physical wellbeing, social inclusion, cultural exchange and opportunities for young people to develop skills and confidence. In response, the company continued to develop its programme plans and funding applications to support the delivery of inclusive dance, sport and community engagement activities for the benefit of the community.
