During the financial year, Music Talent and More CIC remained committed to its social purpose of supporting talented young people aged 16–25, particularly those living with disabilities, by creating opportunities to develop their creative, musical and personal skills. Although the organisation was unsuccessful in securing external funding during the year, it continued to advocate for greater inclusion and equal access to opportunities within the creative industries. Significant time and effort were invested in researching and applying for grants and funding programmes that would enable the delivery of music training, mentoring, workshops and career development opportunities for disabled young people. While these applications were not successful, they strengthened the organisation's strategic planning, partnerships and readiness to deliver impactful programmes once funding is secured. The organisation has continued to raise awareness of the barriers faced by disabled young people seeking careers in music and the creative sector and has engaged with stakeholders to promote the importance of inclusive talent development. This work has helped build the foundation for future projects that aim to reduce inequality, improve confidence, develop employability skills and increase participation in creative activities. Music Talent and More CIC remains dedicated to its mission of empowering young disabled people through music and creativity and will continue pursuing funding opportunities to deliver sustainable community programmes that create lasting social, educational and economic benefits.
During the financial year, Music Talent and More CIC consulted with a range of stakeholders, including talented young people aged 16–25, particularly those with disabilities, their families and carers, community organisations, music professionals, educators, and potential funding bodies. Consultation was carried out through informal discussions, meetings, networking events, email correspondence, and feedback received during funding applications and engagement with community partners. These conversations helped the company better understand the barriers faced by disabled young people in accessing music education, training, mentoring, and employment opportunities within the creative industries. Feedback from stakeholders highlighted the need for accessible, affordable, and inclusive music programmes, as well as greater support for career development, confidence building, and pathways into the music industry. In response, the company refined its proposed programme delivery, strengthened its funding strategy, and continued developing partnerships with organisations that share its commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity. Although the company was unsuccessful in securing funding during the financial year, stakeholder feedback has informed future project planning and reinforced the organisation's commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible services that meet the needs of disabled young people. Music Talent and More CIC will continue engaging with stakeholders to ensure its activities remain relevant, responsive, and capable of delivering meaningful social impact.
