Principal activities of the company

The principal activity of OAKLEAD SERVICES LIMITED is the provision of business support, administrative management, operational coordination and other professional services to commercial clients. The Company provides administrative support, business management assistance, supplier coordination, project administration and other operational services classified under SIC 96090 – Other service activities not elsewhere classified. Revenue is generated from management services, administration support contracts, project-related activities and other professional services provided to business customers throughout the United Kingdom. Strategic Highlights The period ended 30 April 2025 represented the Company's first year of active trading during which its operational structure, client portfolio and service offering were successfully established. During the reporting period the Company secured a number of commercial contracts for the provision of business support and management services while continuing to invest in operational capability, software and office infrastructure. The Company also generated additional operating income together with finance income arising from short-term investments. Business operations were financed principally through long-term funding provided by the Director together with issued share capital, enabling the Company to develop its activities without reliance upon external bank borrowing.

Additional information

Financial Position. At 30 April 2025, the Company reported total assets of £512,891, comprising £85,250 of non-current assets and £427,641 of current assets. Current assets principally comprise inventories held for resale, trade receivables arising from management and administrative service contracts, cash balances, current investments and prepaid operating expenses. Trade receivables of £25,000 represent amounts outstanding from commercial customers at the reporting date. Management reviews outstanding balances regularly and considers all material receivables to be fully recoverable. Current investments of £300,000 represent short-term deposits maintained with recognised financial institutions. The Company maintained positive working capital of £415,442, providing adequate liquidity to support ongoing operations and future business development. Business operations continue to be financed principally through long-term funding provided by the Director. Capital Investment. During the reporting period the Company invested in business software, office equipment and operational infrastructure required to support the provision of administrative and management services. Inventories were also acquired to support customer contracts where the supply of goods formed part of the Company's overall service offering. Management believes that these investments will improve operational efficiency, strengthen client relationships and support future revenue growth. Board Assessment. The Director considers the Company's financial performance during the reporting period to be satisfactory. The Company has established a diversified service-based operating model supported by prudent financial management, positive working capital and long-term funding arrangements. The Director believes that the Company's financial resources, operational capability and growing customer base provide an appropriate platform for continued commercial development.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    The Company generated revenue from the provision of management, administration and operational support services together with the supply of goods where these formed part of customer service contracts. The Company operated as a single operating segment throughout the reporting period.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and impairment losses. Depreciation is calculated using the straight-line method over an estimated useful economic life of three years.

    Intangible fixed assets amortisation policy

    Purchased software licences and business software are stated at cost less accumulated amortisation and impairment losses. Amortisation is calculated using the straight-line method over an estimated useful economic life of three years.

    Other accounting policies

    The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis and on the going concern basis. Revenue is recognised when the related performance obligations have been satisfied. Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation calculated on a straight-line basis over three years. Intangible assets are stated at cost less amortisation calculated on a straight-line basis over three years. Inventories are stated at the lower of cost and net realisable value.Trade debtors are recognised at amortised cost and reviewed regularly for recoverability. Current investments comprise short-term interest-bearing deposits.The Director's loan is classified as a non-current liability. Current taxation represents the estimated Corporation Tax payable for the reporting period. No deferred taxation has been recognised.
