During the financial year, the company continued to pursue its community interest objectives by supporting projects and charitable organisations that contribute towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible world. The company's principal focus during the year was supporting projects and charitable initiatives aimed at protecting the rainforest, with particular emphasis on Brazil and the Amazon in advance of the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belem. To further its community interest objectives, the company undertook activities to raise public awareness of environmental sustainability through events and fundraising engagements - in particular through a significant arts event and art auction at the Saatchi Gallery. These initiatives sought to encourage individuals, communities and businesses to make informed and responsible environmental choices and donate funds for charities engaged in climate action, in particular for the rainforest. The company also sought to support collaboration between charities, environmental organisations and other stakeholders working towards rainforest conservation and wider environmental sustainability. The directors consider that these activities have furthered the company’s community interest objectives by increasing awareness of climate change, biodiversity protection and sustainable development, while supporting organisations working to deliver positive environmental outcomes, notably 3 indigenous led charities in Brazil.
The company maintained regular engagement with charities, project partners, environmental organisations, community groups, businesses and members of the public throughout the year. Stakeholder feedback was obtained through meetings, events, collaborative projects, online engagement and ongoing dialogue. This feedback informed the development of the company's activities and helped ensure that its projects continued to address community needs and maximise environmental and social impact.
