During the financial year, Patchwork People NI CIC improved wellbeing, reduced social isolation and strengthened community connections through accessible creative wellbeing programmes delivered across Northern Ireland. The company's activities benefited the community in the following ways: - Delivered 45 Creative Wellbeing Cafe sessions across five rural Libraries NI locations, providing free, welcoming spaces where people could connect through creativity. - Engaged 95 individual participants through the Creative Wellbeing Cafe, generating 260 attendances and enabling people to build confidence, develop supportive relationships and improve their wellbeing through regular participation. - Engaged 210 individual participants across all programmes delivered during the financial year. - Delivered targeted creative wellbeing projects for rural women, LGBTQ+ communities and local women's groups, adapting activities to meet the needs of each community. - Reduced barriers to participation by providing all creative materials, requiring no previous creative experience and delivering activities in accessible community venues. - Worked in partnership with libraries and community organisations to increase access to preventative wellbeing activities, strengthen community connections and create welcoming, inclusive spaces where participants could get out of their heads and into their hands.
During the financial year, Patchwork People NI CIC consulted with a range of stakeholders including programme participants, Libraries NI staff, community partner organisations and funders. Consultation took place through participant feedback forms, informal conversations during and after sessions, discussions with partner organisations and regular monitoring and reporting to funders. Feedback has been used to shape future programme delivery, refine creative activities, improve accessibility, respond to participant interests and identify new locations and communities where creative wellbeing activities are needed. This has enabled the company to ensure its programmes remain inclusive, responsive and centred on community need.
One director received remuneration of £13,120 during the financial year for providing creative wellbeing facilitation services to the company as a self employed subcontractor. The remuneration related solely to the delivery of community programmes and not to the performance of duties as a director. The director did not participate in decisions relating to their remuneration, which was approved in accordance with the company's conflict of interest procedures.
