During the financial year ended 30 November 2025, Korea Town Foundation CIC carried out and supported a range of cultural, community integration, educational and environmental activities for the benefit of the Korean community and the wider local community. The company supported Korean cultural events, festivals and culinary workshops that attracted participation from Korean residents, other local residents, community organisations and businesses. These activities created opportunities for people from different cultural backgrounds to meet, participate and learn together. They contributed to a greater understanding and appreciation of Korean culture, strengthened community relationships and promoted inclusion, diversity and mutual respect. The company also supported members of the Korean diaspora in integrating into local society. Working with and through the Korean Advice Centre and other community partners, support included legal information and assistance programmes, educational support for vulnerable Korean residents, and culturally and linguistically appropriate counselling and guidance services. These activities helped community members to understand their rights, access relevant public and community services, overcome language and cultural barriers, and participate more confidently in local life. Particular attention was given to individuals who might otherwise experience isolation, vulnerability or difficulty accessing mainstream services. By providing information and support in an accessible and culturally sensitive manner, the company helped improve community wellbeing, social inclusion and access to assistance. The company was also active in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the Korean community and the wider local area. Activities included community litter-picking, the promotion of recycling and waste reduction, and educational initiatives concerning sustainable living. These activities encouraged greater community responsibility for the local environment, supported cleaner public spaces and increased awareness of practical steps that individuals and families can take to live more sustainably. Through these activities, Korea Town Foundation CIC has continued to provide public and community benefit by: promoting Korean culture and intercultural understanding; supporting the integration and wellbeing of Korean residents; improving access to legal, educational, counselling and community support; reducing social isolation and barriers caused by language or cultural differences; strengthening cooperation between residents, businesses, volunteers, public bodies and community organisations; and encouraging environmental responsibility and sustainable living. Consultation with Stakeholders The stakeholders of Korea Town Foundation CIC include Korean residents, the wider local community, local businesses, volunteers, programme and event participants, community organisations, local authorities and other public or voluntary-sector bodies that collaborate with, support or are affected by the company’s cultural, educational, environmental and community integration activities. The company consults stakeholders through community meetings, discussions with residents and partner organisations, feedback from participants and volunteers, and engagement before, during and after programmes and events. This ongoing consultation helps the company identify community needs, assess the effectiveness and accessibility of its activities, and develop future programmes in a responsive and inclusive manner. Feedback received from stakeholders is taken into account when planning activities, establishing partnerships and deciding how the company’s resources can be used most effectively for community benefit. Through this engagement, Korea Town Foundation CIC seeks to ensure that its activities remain aligned with the needs of the communities it serves and continue to promote inclusion, cultural understanding, participation and mutual respect. Directors’ Remuneration No remuneration was received by the directors during the financial year. Transfer of Assets The company did not transfer any assets during the financial year other than for full consideration.
