Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Friends of Thornbury Park CIC continued to support and enhance Thornbury Park for the benefit of the local community. The company raised funds through memberships, donations, jam sales, grant funding from the London Borough of Hounslow, and community fundraising. These funds were used to meet the costs of insurance, Companies House filing fees, website and promotional materials, and activities supporting the park. The CIC continued to encourage community involvement in maintaining and improving the park, including supporting tree planting and environmental initiatives, helping to provide a welcoming green space for local residents.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's principal stakeholders are local residents, members of Friends of Thornbury Park CIC, volunteers, London Borough of Hounslow, park users and local supporters. Stakeholders were consulted through the Annual General Meeting, committee meetings held in Thornbury Park and at the Milford Arms, community clean-up events, informal discussions with local residents, and updates and feedback via the Friends of Thornbury Park Facebook page. Feedback from stakeholders helped shape the company's priorities, including ongoing park maintenance, community events, environmental improvements, fundraising activities and the promotion of tree planting and biodiversity projects. The company continued to respond to local priorities by supporting activities that improve the park and encourage community involvement.
