Company activities and impact

Fusion of Hearts CIC is a community interest company established to improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by empowering parents and carers through advocacy, education and practical support. During the reporting period, the company focused on establishing its services and supporting families to navigate the SEND system. We provided one-to-one advocacy and guidance to parents and carers, helping them understand their rights and access appropriate educational and support services. This included support with Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications and reviews, school meetings, disability benefit applications, and signposting families to relevant services. The company also developed educational resources and workshop materials designed to increase parents' knowledge and confidence in advocating for their children. Alongside direct family support, we began developing partnerships with schools, community organisations and professionals to improve collaboration and increase awareness of SEND. During the year, Fusion of Hearts CIC secured external grant funding to begin expanding its services and strengthen support available to families within the local community. These activities have benefited the community by increasing parents' confidence, improving their understanding of the SEND system and enabling families to access appropriate support and services. Through advocacy, information and partnership working, Fusion of Hearts CIC has begun building sustainable services that improve outcomes for children and families affected by SEND.
