  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company plus grants received, net of Value Added Tax (where VAT registered) and trade discounts.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation and any provision for impairment. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following basis: Plant and Machinery 25% Reducing Balance Computer Equipment 25% Reducing Balance

Company activities and impact

The last year has been more about expanding our market garden area, planting more yield providing trees and bushes, and spending lots of time applying for grant funding. We have grown a number of heritage varieties of plants. We have taken on responsibility for a number of chickens and ducks.

We have provided frequent updates and blog posts as well as social media activity.
