The company’s activities have benefited the community by supporting the conservation, preservation and educational objectives associated with Hamerton Zoo Park. Hamerton Conservation and Heritage Centre CIC maintains and preserves a collection of historic exhibits, artefacts and items of heritage interest. These resources complement the wider conservation and educational work carried out at Hamerton Zoo Park and help to provide visitors with opportunities to learn about wildlife, conservation, natural history and associated social and cultural heritage. During the year, the company continued to safeguard and maintain its heritage collection for educational and public-interest purposes. By preserving these items and making them available in connection with the Zoo’s wider educational activities, the company helps ensure that material of historic and educational value is retained for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future generations. The company’s activities therefore provide a community benefit through education, the preservation of heritage and increased public awareness of conservation and the natural world.
