During the financial year, Team Harmony CIC delivered activities that promoted community participation, education and the advancement of music. The company organised and developed initiatives that provided opportunities for individuals, particularly young people and members of the local community, to develop musical skills, on and offstage skills, participate in workshops and rehearsals, and perform in community events. A significant focus of the company's work during the year was the planning, organisation and delivery of the Harmony Concert. The project brought together musicians, singers and volunteers from diverse backgrounds to participate in rehearsals, training sessions and a large-scale community performance. The activities encouraged collaboration, strengthened community relationships and provided a platform for emerging talent. The company also invested in equipment, rehearsal facilities, marketing and training to improve the quality and accessibility of its community programmes. These activities were carried out for the benefit of the community rather than for private profit. The directors also provided financial support to the company through director loans to enable the delivery of these community activities. Any income received by the company was applied towards furthering its community objectives and supporting the delivery of its programmes.
The company sought feedback from participants through informal interviews and discussions with workshop attendees, musicians and audience members following its activities and community events. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and highlighted the value of providing accessible opportunities for musical development within the community. Participants expressed a strong desire for more upskilling projects, increased opportunities to learn from established and experienced musicians, and greater access to orchestral performance and training. This feedback will inform the company's future plans, including expanding its programme of workshops, strengthening mentoring opportunities with professional musicians, and developing initiatives that improve access to orchestral playing for aspiring community musicians.
