BREAKING HUNDRED CIRCLE CIC

Company Number: 16140700 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

The company’s activities and impact During the financial year, Breaking Hundred Circle CIC delivered leadership and career-development activities for women from Black, Asian and other minority ethnic backgrounds who aspire to progress into senior and executive leadership roles. The company’s principal activity was the Breaking Hundred Fellowship, a structured leadership-development programme combining masterclasses, mentoring, peer learning, networking and practical career-development support. Sessions focused on areas including leadership identity, executive presence, strategic positioning, negotiation, cultural intelligence, sponsorship and navigating barriers to progression. Participants were also supported to develop workplace and community-focused capstone projects addressing practical challenges in areas such as healthcare, employment, leadership, professional inclusion and support for internationally trained professionals. This enabled participants to apply their learning beyond their own career development and create benefits for the organisations and communities they serve. The company’s activities benefited the community by: increasing participants’ confidence, leadership capability and career readiness; providing access to mentors, senior leaders and professional networks that participants might not otherwise have; reducing the isolation often experienced by minority ethnic women seeking senior leadership positions; creating a trusted peer community for shared learning, encouragement and accountability; supporting participants to develop practical initiatives with wider organisational and social impact; and contributing to a more diverse and representative pipeline of future senior and executive leaders. Feedback and ongoing engagement indicated that participants developed greater clarity about their leadership ambitions, increased confidence in positioning themselves for senior opportunities, strengthened their professional networks and gained practical tools to overcome barriers to progression.

Consultation with stakeholders

Has there been a consultation with stakeholders? Yes. The company’s key stakeholders included fellowship participants, mentors, facilitators, programme partners, sponsors, volunteers and members of the wider professional community that Breaking Hundred Circle CIC seeks to support. Stakeholders were consulted through regular programme check-ins, group discussions, individual conversations, feedback following leadership sessions, mentoring discussions and ongoing communication by email and online messaging platforms. Mentors, facilitators and partners also provided feedback through planning meetings and discussions about programme delivery and participants’ needs. In response to stakeholder feedback, the company: refined the content and sequencing of leadership-development sessions; introduced greater emphasis on practical topics such as negotiation, executive presence, strategic positioning and sponsorship; strengthened guidance and support for participants’ capstone projects; created additional opportunities for peer learning, mentoring and professional networking; adapted aspects of programme delivery to reflect participants’ availability and learning needs; and used feedback to inform the planning of future programmes, events and community activities. This ongoing consultation helped ensure that the company’s activities remained relevant, accessible and responsive to the needs of the women and wider communities it was established to benefit.
