Company activities and impact

Courtside Hillsborough CIC has a mission to bring people together and help them get active in and around Hillsborough, Sheffield. We seek to get more people active through the promotion and delivery of physical and social group sessions. These sessions take place in parks in partnership with various stakeholders (see Part 2) and are hosted by staff or volunteers. The community benefits from these opportunities in a number of ways, including free or low-cost access to sporting or social get-togethers improved physical and mental health, greater self-confidence and increased personal connections.

Consultation with stakeholders

In order to deliver our services in a joined-up way, which ultimately delivers greater benefits for the community, we have a number of important stakeholders, both national and local. These include but are not limited to: Sheffield City Council, Sport England, the Lawn Tennis Association, parkrun, Access Sport, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, local employers, and community groups (e.g. Sheffield Cycling 4 All). We meet and/or communicate with these entities on a regular basis in order to agree priorities and plan interventions to get the community more active.
